Caliber Military Combine
At Caliber Collision, we’re dedicated to going the extra mile for our military service members. That’s why we were so proud to team up with the Dallas Cowboys to host our inaugural Military Combine, an event dedicated to giving back to those who gave so much for our country.
On November 5, 2016 at Fort Hood, active duty soldiers came out to test their tenacity, each competing in the same drills as those at the NFL Combine:
40-YARD DASH | BROAD JUMP | ENDURANCE TEST | PUSH-UPS/SIT-UPS | MEDICINE BALL TOSS
We chose the 50 elite soldiers who would advance to the Finals on February 25, 2017 at AT&T Stadium. And they sure did not disappoint. It was an all-out battle for bragging rights, but two really rose to the challenge to be named best of the best: male winner, SPC Tavon Johnson, and female winner, SFC Shonta Tucker.
Both Johnson and Tucker will have the pleasure of announcing the Cowboys’ 2017 first draft pick at AT&T Stadium in April. But they weren’t the only winners of the Caliber Military Combine.
Throughout the course of the Combine, we had the opportunity to surprise four incredibly deserving veterans with the keys to a newly refurbished vehicle thanks to our Recycled Rides program. The vehicles were donated by State Farm and the time to repair them was donated by Caliber teammates from Dallas and Killeen. When it comes to our heroes, it’s our duty to give back and get them back on the road.
Thank you to everyone who participated and supported the Military Combine. We could not have done it without you, and we look forward to seeing you there next year.
