At Caliber, we go to great lengths to support the American Heart Association and help put an end to heart disease. And this year, we’re proud to say we’re stepping it up once again. On Saturday, September 9, 2017, local Caliber teammates from all across Dallas/Fort Worth will lace up for their fifth consecutive AHA Heart Walk. Together, we can help those affected get a leg up on heart disease – step by step.
Every year, the AHA conducts countless amounts of research in order to learn more about this debilitating disease and spread heart health awareness all across our nation. And events like the AHA Heart Walk help raise money and understanding for this cause, which is why we’re proud to participate every year. But the Heart Walk is merely one of the many ways Caliber supports the AHA.
Earlier this year, we hosted our second annual Caliber Classic, a golf tournament benefiting the AHA. The tournament teed off without a hitch as we hosted 36 teams, crushing our fundraising goals and raising $101,000 for the AHA. The day’s clear blue skies and pristine greens made for a picture-perfect day of great golf for a good cause, and we’re already practicing our swing for the tournament next spring.
Another way we’re happy to help heart health is through Côtes du Coeur, AHA’s largest national charity gala. With the combined efforts of our teammates, clients, partners and communities, we’re able to make each year’s gala more successful than the last. In fact, last year we helped raise a record-breaking $4 million in net contributions. It definitely was a night to wine, dine and, above all else, save lives.
Like Caliber, the AHA is a company committed to giving back to the communities they serve, and we are so grateful to be part of an even greater cause. And feel free to come find us and join in our mission to fight heart disease and stroke; we’ll be the ones wearing matching Caliber Heart Walk shirts and hopefully winning the t-shirt design contest for the third year in a row, proving we’re not afraid to wear our commitments on our sleeve.
Join us, and together we can march to the same beat as we restore the rhythm to some very deserving lives, while leaving heart disease in our dust.
